Four ways into the post-pandemic health work. Pick the one that fits you.

Some people arrive here trying to explain a change in their own health. Some are practitioners who want the mechanism. Some want the published evidence. Some want a private clinical interpretation. This page routes you to the right place in one step.

Your starting point

Choose the pathway that matches what you actually need

Each route opens a short guide on this page. You can follow more than one — but starting in the right place saves time.

For patients

I am trying to explain a change in my own health

Start with plain-language education and a free structured assessment. The aim is pattern recognition — understanding what may be driving a confusing clinical picture — before you decide what to do next.

Start with a free assessment

For practitioners

I want to understand the mechanisms well enough to help others

Structured courses and masterclasses for clinicians, therapists and health professionals — covering immune dysregulation, viral persistence, gut–immune–inflammation interactions and post-COVID physiology.

For researchers

I want the evidence, the data and the mechanism

Peer-reviewed publications, population-level analysis of hospital admission patterns, and the COVID STORM framework that connects immune dysregulation to chronic, metabolic and neurodegenerative disease.

For consultations

I want individual clinical interpretation

Private consultations through Vejon Consultive for complex, unresolved health patterns. Designed to help you understand your own pattern and communicate more effectively with your usual healthcare providers — not to diagnose, treat or cure.

Common questions

Questions people ask before they start

Where should I start if my health changed after COVID?

Begin with the free structured assessment on the patient pathway above. It is designed to help you describe and organise what has changed, so that the pattern becomes visible. From there you can move into the educational material, or — if the picture is complex and unresolved — consider a private consultation through Vejon Consultive.

What is the difference between Vejon Health, McMillan Research and Vejon Consultive?

Vejon Health is the public education arm: accessible explanations, assessments and free resources. McMillan Research is the evidence arm: peer-reviewed publications, population-level data analysis and mechanistic interpretation. Vejon Consultive is the clinical arm: private one-to-one interpretation of complex health patterns. This site, drphilipmcmillan.com, is the personal anchor that connects them.

What is the COVID STORM framework?

A mechanism-first way of understanding how immune dysregulation, persistent inflammation, endothelial involvement and gut–immune interactions may connect across many apparently unrelated conditions. It is a way of interpreting evidence as it arrives, not a fixed claim about any individual disease.

Are the courses suitable for people without a clinical background?

Some are. The practitioner modules assume working clinical knowledge, while the patient-facing courses are written for intelligent non-specialists. Each course page states which audience it is built for before you enrol.

Is Dr McMillan taking new patients?

Consultations through Vejon Consultive are interpretation services, not a substitute for primary care. They are intended for people with complex or poorly explained health patterns who want help understanding what may be happening and how to discuss it with their own clinicians. Availability varies — check the Vejon Consultive site for current status.

Does any of this replace my doctor?

No. Everything on this site is provided for general education and research discussion. It does not constitute medical advice, diagnosis or treatment, and it does not replace consultation with your own healthcare provider. If you have urgent symptoms, seek emergency medical care.

Still not sure? Take the shortest route.

If you are here about your own health, start with the free assessment. If you are here for the science, start with the research. Both are free.
